Putting my front end on after rebuilding it and I find this engine mount does not fit correctly, I've been told the top center piece is correct, has ford stamp and T320? but the rest is some aftermarket thingy. I was going to use this but the bottom part of this contraption only touches the front cross member and there is a gap between it and the spring, 7 leaves.
I feel like there is something missing the nuts that go on the original engine mount thread on 1/4" past the cotter pin hole.
Looking for feedback on what I should do, what does a normal front engine mount look like?

Immediately after posting I thought maybe the plate on the bottom was mounted upside down, it fits much better this way but I still feel there is something missing, like the original bottom piece of the engine mount, researching what that looks like now.

This is the correct mount, front spring clip, for 1926-27 with the hole for mounting the shield. The extra u-bolts & plate are for a different purpose. I quickly grabbed this picture off the internet but have several for sale if your interested

Frank, he has the correct front motor mount for ‘26 (altho it might’ve been initially for a TT since the 2 threaded pieces are longer.) He just needs to get rid of 2 U bolts and that 6 hole plate and get the shorter plate as in your picture.

The plate that goes under the spring should not touch the frame crossmember. There should be a a leather or rubber pad on top of the spring.

The photo TRDxB2 shows above is the complete and correct 26-27 assembly. The TT truck has larger diameter studs on the Y-bracket. I believe they are 11/16 from memory. The steel plate with the two U-bolts is an aftermarket accessory. When the Y-bolt style with 2 nuts came out to replace the earlier two u-bolt 4 nut style, the accessory was offered to strengthen the "possible weak" 2 nut style. I feel like the old timers may not have "trusted" the two nut style and a smart accessory manufacture saw a chance to "fix" the problem and make some money. Even tho there was no problem and the 2 nut style is probably a better design.

Also the six hole plate looks a bit different than what I have on the shelf. Here is some info on it --

The picture you have of the spring clip facing up should have some curve to it higher in the middle and less on the ends. This is to allow the spring leaves to flex some. So that gap is okay provided the cross member is nestled into the 6 hold plate & hold the spring leaves tightly in the center. The mounting looks okay however I don't see how it will hole the spring tightly in the cross member. A piece may be missing for that accessory clip or it was modified... I wouldn't use it. --

That accessory device might be a good thing to have on a TT with a stake bed or a bus on a TT chassis, or a wrecker. I wouldn't want it on a car, especially an open car.

Perhaps a new pad on top of the spring would space it down some. The addition of an eighth spring leaf would certainly do so. This would mean the split pin holes would line up with the castle nut, and the 6 hole plate would clear under the front cross member.

I put one of these 6 hole plates on a touring. As pictured in the accessory ad. It does a good lob stabilizing the front end from side sway.

The whole thing looks to be for a TT truck. I assume a TT has an extra leaf or 2.(not a TT guy) The front motor mount with the correct spring plate might indicate by the position of the cotter pin holes too long, in which case its for a TT. Either way its incorrect for a 27, missing the mount for the radiator diaper.
