Photo Request

Post by BUSHMIKE » Sun Mar 26, 2023 8:37 am

Good morning all,
I have searched the web looking for a nice full side view photo or sketch of a Steel Closed Cab TT Snowmobile. Lots of pics of angled views but none a straight side view. If I can find a nice pic, I need someone with printing capability to print off half a dozen 8 1/2x11’s. I would be happy to pay for the copies. I want to cut out some “paper-dolls” and do some design work the old school way. Thanx!

If you can find a photo that's off a little you can turn it into a straight-on view. I use a photo editing program called GIMP, downloaded free from the internet. It makes that kind of perspective adjustment very easy.

Not sure if this will help, but the Piquette Factory Museum has a 1925 Snow machine. The Museum has a 3-D virtual tour on their site (link below). The vehicle in question is on the 3rd (top) floor toward the north (right) end of the plant. The tour starts in the gift shop use the arrow keys to turn and go forward/back. I'm not super tech savvy but was able to figure out how to get around- go up the stairs to the next level (which is just to the right and across the hall). The 3D tour is very well done there is a ton of stuff to see and detailed info on all the cars.

This is the right place to ask. I spend a lot of time searching the internet for just the right picture. They are out there but hard to find.
Steve's picture of the Studebaker is fantastic. He takes some marvelous pictures. I wonder if there are any more of it.
Best of luck finding what you are looking for. Keep us posted on the project.
Rich
When did I do that?

Doug, very cool virtual your. Thanks! Had to find the steps to walk up to the 3rd floor. Unfortunately they have dedicated spots, O, for viewing and I couldn't back up or tilt the image for a good profile. I was so close.....

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

If you can't find a better image, I'm planning to go to the Museum clean-up day with the local club on April 22 and could get as many photos as you would like.
