1915 non brass radiator?

Post by NY John T » Sun Mar 26, 2023 11:58 am

Can anyone tell me if there were 1915 Touring cars that did not have the brass radiator? I'm trying to resolve with a friend. Would there be a late 15 change to steel curved radiators and hoods? Thanks.

No.

That change occurred on 1917 models.
The inevitable often happens.

Brass wasn’t phased out till the ‘17 model… but there were many that got painted black from those that didn’t like the green look, and also aftermarket replacement hoods and radiators to update the styling of the brass cars

There were also after-market cover shells and hoods made and sold to "update" the look of late brass era cars.

"Non brass radiator" well, not really such a thing or phased out, the radiators are still brass and restyled to be covered with a cowl on the 17 model and on.
