APCO Part, Any Ideas?

Post by desertexplorer » Sun Mar 26, 2023 12:30 pm

This lid/cap came with some Model T parts I picked up a while back. I’ve had a lot of T accessories over the years but I haven’t been able to figure out what this lid’s application was for. The lid measures 3.4” in diameter.

Thanks!

Before seeing the APCO name, I would have guessed it was part of a gum ball machine.

That is the top of a rare APCO oil filler.

Wow, that was a fast ID, I looked at a few accessory oil fillers on line but none matched this so I wasn’t quite sure what I had. I’d like to use it on my speedster so I’ll need to hunt down the funnel part that’s missing.

I’m always learning about rare T accessory parts and this is another one!
Just maybe you’ll find the rest of the oil filter but I doubt it will be easy. That’s another old T part that got thrown away over time that was laying in the corner of old garages.
