My local scrap dealer had about 25 about 1 year ago I delivered. I believe my cousin in China has converted them into tv mounting brackets at Walmart.

I see the pump is available on Rockauto. “Inventing” the bracket isn’t that difficult.

He DID say he was looking for an adapter; not the pump. He evidently has, or has access to, a pump. Yes, the adapter is not complex, but if you have one, it is a lot easier to bolt one on, than have to make or machine one. Not everyone has a machine shop or the skills.

I have one of Kirk Wright’s. I did a bit of “tweaking” and plan to run it finally in the next couple of weeks.

I just took mine off my speedster engine to install my alternator/oil pump drive… but my dad quickly claimed it for himself.

I do suggest seeking out an iron Melling pump rather than the lower precision aluminum alternatives. The iron pump I removed had very little noticeable wear after 10+ years. I am happy to make up a sketch of the adapter I removed if this helps

Kevin, I (and I am sure others as well) would appreciate it if you would post that information here also. Thank you for sharing your ongoing OHV build-up on your own thread— enjoy seeing your amazing skills!

There was a guy from the Pacific NW selling the adapters at the Spokane swap meet last July.
He was machining them himself.
I bought one from him.
Our Washington or Oregon friends may know who he is?

The cost of the pump is out of site. The last ones I bought was $260. If you can beat that price let us know where and how much.

I just checked Rockauto. The aluminum one is $65.00 and the Melling iron one is $189.00. And that’s Canadian $

Here a quick look at what I made all those years ago…

Rough material dimension is 3.5” x 3.5” x 2.0”. Could probably take an inch off the length as the “snout” isn’t necessary. When I made this, I wanted to add a ball bearing to take the radial gear load but never did. After all these years the pump is in good shape, so bearing not needed. A simple register into the generator bracket will do

If someone is going to do this, I'm machining generator gear blanks as I type this and could make some with a .490" bore to fit the Datsun pump shaft.
Just stirring the pot a bit................

Dan, I'll take one. It will keep me from having to put a brass bushing in a T generator gear.

Be aware if you are purchasing a Melling pump- the Melling #M90 Nissan B-210 pump does not include the input shaft or the gerotor. The correct part number to purchase is the # M90A and is a complete pump. Just FYI.

Looking at the pictures of the two versions of the B210 pump offered on Rockauto they certainly appear to be complete.
