The tires didn't fair so well !!

I wonder if the car was new, or a few years old ?? Any way you figure, that Model T was packing upwards of three tons with that load !! I wonder how all those passengers kept their balance ?? It would have been quite a sight to see !!

I have seen a few photos from that era demonstrating in some way or another how "tough" a Model T could be - climbing capitol steps or loaded with people of all ages similar to this picture (although I think this has to be the record number !). It's also fun to consider the point of reference. I don't think anyone was doing similar stunts with 1954 models, and more to my amusement, consider how the differences between 1979 models and the current offerings are pretty much taken for granted.

I do find it a bit hard to believe that all those men hung on to that car for two hours as it drove around town.

We had 78 college age kids (boys and girls) in a 1965 Ford van. Part of a weekend competition, men and women's dorms, even floors against the odd floors. Lots of found memories of my college days.

Yikes !! Two or more men on the folded top bows for 2 hours!!

Don, the newspaer did not say he drove around with ALL the crowd for ALL the two hours, so your disbelief is covered!!!!!

I agree it doesn’t say ALL the round on board but it certainly implies the (whole) crowd on board.
