visitation for willie cordes is 10am-12pm saturday at the funeral home in Schulenburg. Then graveside services out in Freyburg to follow. If it doesnt rain the boys jeff and luke will drive their Dad to the cemetery on the modle T truck.

Willie was a very interesting character and had a wealth of knowledge about Model T's that he willingly shared. On a lighter note, Willie never would share information about just exactly how many Model T's he owned!

Willie Cordes was a longtime member of the Space City T’s. My wife and I have known him since the 1990’s. We can't count how many times he and his boys have helped us out with Model T issues. When Willie gave a tour, it was always fun and exciting. Gay Nell has been a valued friend and supporter of our club. Our deepest sympathy is extended to Gay Nell, Jeff, Luke and their extended family and friends.

We knew it was coming - just didn’t know when. Willie, Gay Nell, Jeff and Luke are great supporters of our beloved Model T experiences. Weather permitting, Luke asked for Model Ts to join the procession. Hope this rain quits. I have the ‘14 in the trailer....He’ll be truly missed

Willie was one of the really good members of our Model T community. I always enjoyed being around him on tours and at Chickasha. He planted the Model T seed in both of his sons, and they have carried the torch admirably. We have lost one of the great ones. My condolences to the family.

Willie was a great guy and I missed not seeing him the last couple of years at Chickasha. We would go round and round on stuff and sometimes, eventually, even would work out some kind of deal.
Sympathies to the family.

Have known for some time that this was coming. When I tuned in (late today) and saw his name, I knew what it meant.
I never met Willie in person, but he and I exchanged messages and had discussions on the forum several times. That special coupe he had has been one of my favorite black era Ts for many years! Truly, he will be missed by many people.
My heartfelt sympathies to his family and close friends.

What a guy. Smart, funny, and not afraid to call out baloney when he heard it. I've missed seeing him at Chickasha and will miss him even more now that he's gone for real.

A fitting tribute provided by jeff and luke. Willie and the boys were some of the first people I met after joining the modle T world jeff gave me a ride in the famous centerdoor on my first tour when my car broke down. That evening with a 12 pack as encouragement the boys fixed my car and as I remember it Willie said I think you boys have it fixed. I will miss Willie and his interaction with jeff and luke it was special. GOD BESS.

Jeff and Like,

Sorry to learn of your Dad’s passing. A fitting final ride in a Model-T. Take comfort in your and his many Model-T friends in this time of remembrance and sorrow.

Thanks for the pictures Gary. Fantastic to see that Luke can have a smile taking his Dad on his final ride in a Model T! A wonderful and fitting send off for a great Model T guy. Condolences to Jeff and Luke.

Does anyone have a picture of Willie?
I talked a lot with him through email but don’t think I ever met him and knew who he was.
Thanks,
Robbie

Mr. Cordes and his family ventured to Jackson, WY. for the MTFCA National Tour in 2012. Their Centerdoors were a treat to see. He was wonderful to visit with and so accepting of my "1909" as it was. I could tell he knew more about it that I did as he talked of assembling the one he had. He truly exemplified the best of Texas. I wish I had spent more time with him.
Best wishes for the family at this sad time.
