Ken Nye Last Ride

This note to alert the passing last week of Ken Nye of Mills River/Etowah, North Carolina. Ken came late to Model T’s after an earlier life as Army helicopter crew chief, then helicopter mechanic. Ken never got his Model T to fly, but he and wife, Jenni, toured extensively in their 1923 touring car with the deer antler radiator cap. He was always first in line to help anybody with a Model T problem, no matter how big or trivial. Locally, he and Jenni were always ready and willing to drive anywhere in the T. Sadly, the Model T road will be just a bit lonelier now.

Ken and Jennie were active, well thought of members of the Tennessee T's. We hate to hear of his passing. We will miss him.

I too have had the pleasure of touring with Ken & Jennie for nearly 15 or so years now, -and even had them help me organize one of my tours. He will definitely be missed. God Speed my friend!! Thoughts & prayers for Jenni Whitehall in the coming days.

I have known Ken and Jenni for several years, seeing them on our tours. Met them on on of the Hendersonville tours. Great folks.

Ken and Max Larson toured together last fall with the smokey mountain T club. I have never laughed as hard listening to Ken and Max telling of the days stories and with dinner with them in the evening. Max with his quiet comments and Ken with his over the top comments just about any subject. Ken was a mechanical genius.
What a privilege to spend time with them!
