After record rains, a few seminars and a pancake breakfast, the Redwood Empire Model T Club had it’s first tour of the year. A dozen cars met for donuts and coffee. We then toured Alexander Valley, full of world class vineyards. Even if you don’t drink wine the vineyards make for nice scenery. After lunch we toured back to down through Dry Creek Valley for more vineyards. It wasn’t along tour but a good start to a great touring season.

Out and about; Redwood Empire Model T Club was also represented by one of its members, and his 1911 Touring, here in the City of Monrovia's Hillside Nature Preserve. This HCCSC hosted event also included 5 more stops in some of this neighborhood's most historically significant homes.

Today we had a flash tour. On short notice 4 cars went on a short tour then stopped at the Sonoma County Museum to view a collection of mostly moveable art by Michael Cooper. He builds the most elaborate kinetic sculptures. I couldn’t get any photos in the museum but some of his pieces can be viewed at

My chapter .... ? MY chapter left the beast parked in the back
of the shop while all energies are focused on framing and finishing
the shop roof !

We went out for breakfast. We got a clown car running again. Then we realized we have to rebuild the front end because it was as loose as a goose.

The important thing is to get out and do something. Have to get the touring muscle memory back.
