Blueprint of floor mat 1911-12 open runabout

I ran across this while cleaning out a closet. It’s for 11-12 open runabout. What I found interesting is is notation saying it’s made of duck heavily impregnated with rubber. I have 2 original floor mats that are made this way.

Been a few years since I looked at it. However, one of the two original floormats I have had a sort of canvas or "duck" material made into the rubber mat. If I ever get that far along on my 1915, I was planning to "glue" a similar material onto the underside of my 1915's new floormat. If for no other reason than to help strengthen the mat so that hopefully it will last longer.
Just as a clarification? By 1911-12 open runabout? You are referring to the standard open runabout that likely had a mother-in-law seat on the back? Or may have been sold without the seat as the "commercial roadster". If I recall correctly, the 1911 "open roadster" had the gasoline tank behind the seat which was placed a couple inches farther back than the standard runabouts. Those if I recall correctly required special floormats just as the 1911 torpedo roadster did. For 1912 of course, the torpedo roadsters as well as the commercial and mother-in-law roadsters became somewhat more homogenized, requiring fewer special parts.

If anyone has an original that they are looking to part with, I would be interested. I have a partially unrestored 12 torpedo, I am looking to highlight the unrestored parts of the car, patina is good!

I wish the reproduction mats were made with rubber impregnated duck. Mine would likely not have suffered a tear around the pedal opening. I "fixed" that with Gorilla tape, but I like Wayne's idea of gluing cotton duck to the mat. What kind of adhesive would be best for the job ?
The print doesn't specify whether the rubber was to be white, but I'm thinking the original issue would have been before the advent of adding carbon black to rubber products ? Hence, they were white ?
Fun to see that print ! Thanks, Kim.

All we need now is a blueprint of the 1925 roadster/touring floor mat!

Hear some pictures of an original 1910 floor mat. It’s clearly made with duck as the blueprint says. It’s with dark gray or black in color at this point in time. Hard to say what the original color was, but I don’t believe it was anything close to white!
