One of Fords first four cylinder cars is almost ready
The plan is to have this 1905 (built in late 1904) Ford Model B at Richmond for the Model T Reunion. We hope to have all the “alphabet Fords” there. I plan to be in Canada by Monday to see the guys at Fawcett Restoration finish the car. My plan is to arrive in Richmond by Thursday evening. I’ll post photos as the car goes together:

I wonder about the striping? I don't think they would have done it that way in 1905?

This closeup shows several reflections, that appear to be striping, as well as some of the striping:
Same stripping, possibly on the same early car. Only the first 50-60 Model B had steplates, with a switch to running boards and a larger rear door by mid January 1905:
