OT? Not Really, Model T Related

Post by Henry K. Lee » Sat May 11, 2019 8:16 pm

Been collecting parts for years to build up a period correct era boat, trailer, and motor. My Dear Ole Dad restored the vintage appropriate gear so the project begins. This Baby will be towed behind my 1927 Roadster Pick Up. All are in the works, but I am older and getting slower.

It would be a shame to put either that boat or that outboard in our dirty water!!!

I had the same thought about what a shame it would be to ever use that beautiful antique Johnson outboard motor in salt water!

All my antique toys I use and share the joy with others. Life becomes more fun that way. The boat was built by a friend who is a master boat builder, in turn I upholstered the seat in his 1914 Stutz, and threw in some beautiful brass headlights. He built the boat from white cypress. I will marine varnish it and set the water line. The engine is an AB 25 (1926). This one was made specifically for salt water has it has all bronze water jackets.

Very easy to maintain folks.

All the Best,

Hank

That Johnson motor looks like a 1930 or so Model A Johnson. I have two of them., 1932 and a 1933.
