Per the MTFCA Encyclopedia the engine number can not be used to date a car(hence identify one) just the engine. Reason engines were replaced over time.
Here is some info on Canadian Numbers & production volumes https://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/1 ... 40611.html

Canadian Car. Either a late 15 or early 16 from the list of engine numbers posted above. It would be a good source of parts for someone who had a car of that vintage. Otherwise it would be hard to find a body for it unless you use a reproduction body or make it into a speedster.

Looking at the photo in the other post the chassis looks pretty good. It looks to be pretty much the original parts and hadn’t been plundered for parts. If it were mine I’d get it to at least run the way it is if possible.
Some would build up with a neat huckster or speedster. It would look neat with a reproduction roadster body and pickup bed. But to each his own. At least it didn’t wind up as some sort of farm trailer as so many did!

Forgot to post this photo - it may have never been a "car" but just a chassis that was sold without a body
