Re: How to Buy the Perfict Model T - According to Yahoo
Seems like a conglomeration of the Yahoo(bot) searches Generally pretty informative.
I think the numbers of survivors is a little low at 50-60K.
I also thought colors stopped in 16 not 14, but correct me if I'm wrong please.

The black era beginning with 1914 is correct. The glaring error I noted was the claim that a Ruckstell is for more speed.
The inevitable often happens.

Thanks Steve.Steve Jelf wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 10:10 amThe black era beginning with 1914 is correct. The glaring error I noted was the claim that a Ruckstell is for more speed.
The Ruckstell will give more speed with 3:1 gears and a lower high/Ruckstell combo. Giving "the best of both worlds". But it failed to mention that.

To me, it would seem that an Englishman wrote this and probably had just become interested in Model T's long enough to consider himself an "expert"...........or something close to that.

It also doesn't mention that the last couple of years were not usually black.

Here is another YouTube Video about early T's by Craig Beek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CaDVm6LrxQ
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Very little Fordson parts are same as T, I am aware of only the coils, and timer fitting a T. The Fordson engine was larger than a T and had a transmission with three fwd and one reverse and no brakes until the much later models.
