June 21 is my 91st birthday. I have a group of Model T owners coming over to install the correct 1910 rear end in my 1910 Model tomorrow on my 91st birthday. I will be busy all day, so that is why I am posting this today. I am doing well and enjoy life. I check the forum twice a day for the latest ads and comments. This club is great and I am a member from the first year (1965). I have a member number below 1000 in both Model T clubs.

Darel,
That’s great (working with friends in your T). Happy Birthday, and wishing you many more birthday work days.

Happy birthday. Glad are are able to enjoy the model ts. For the record you are not only older than all model Ts but also older than all model As and most model Bs.
Stay healthy.

Art, I respectfully suggest you switch your calculator over to “Mag”… apparently, battery power just isn’t powerful enough to perform this sort of complicated computation!

PS: Kudos, however, for eschewing extraneous apostrophe’s in your post.

Happy Birthday!
Always liked June 21 the longest day of the year here.
Seems appropriate to celebrate a birthday on that day for a life that is lived long and well.
Enjoy your 1910 Model T Darel and many happy returns!

Here is a 1942 photo of ten year old Darel Leipold that is in the collections of the Hennepin County Library.

I live not too far from photo was taken. The house is on a major thoroughfare so I drive past it on a regular basis.

Thank you to all who posted and total who read the postings. A group of friends fro the Valley Model T Club, Mi nnesota came over in the morning and installed the rebuild 1910 rear end in to my May, 1910 Touring. We had coffee andd tearts out. I took from about 9 a.m. t 11 a.m. to install it. Fortunately I had necessary gasket and grease, extra bolts and nuts, cotter pins to complete the job. We took a bunch of photos, but for some reason, they are not downloading to my iMac. I am at my store. I will try at home to the iMac I have there.
Note : In the evening we drove down to Mankato and then back . We hit a good sized stone on the road and damaged a tire. We did make it home 50 more miles. There were three cars on the side of the road beyound the rock --I assume the tire on their cars was ruined. When one puts a new tire on the car, they need to be in pairs. So were probably will replance all 4./ They are the origional tires (40,000- miles) on our 2018 Subaru crosstect.

Love the 1942 photo, and am glad you had a great time with friends changing out the rear end. What a nice day that must have been.
