How tight?
I hung my front axle back on yesterday and have a question. How tight should the castings fit on the balls on the tie rod and pitman arm? Also, what do you suggest for lube?

Re: How tight?
Tight enough NOT to bind then after you've fitted them apply chassis grease.

Re: How tight?
Tighten like Steve said, and for grease, I like the "red stuff". Lasts all year. I take 'em apart every spring, clean up the joints, inspect for trouble, re-grease, and you're good to go for the season.
