Spindle Bolts

While cleaning up one of my cars for a tour tomorrow, I got to thinking of spindle bolts. I remember well when Randall Anderson was duplicating the early ones, and remarked they are .503". I have a couple of NOS early ones, and that is true. I don't believe they were ground ever? The later NOS ones I have are not so accurate. They are Ford script, but can vary from .500" to .503". Does that sound about right?

Sounds about right. My Ford drawing dated 8-7-19 gives the diameter at .502" to .504". And a Ford drawing dated 4-28-22 has .500" to .504".

The Ford spindle bushing drawing dated 10-1-26 has a call-out to line ream in place .5045"-.505".
