Sharing my design work on starters and generators

In the interest of furthering this hobby, I'm sharing all my 3D designs and parts I've spent untold hours & days creating over the past couple of years. When I've departed this world, someone can take over and not have to start from scratch.

Starter and generator insulators, Stewart Speedometer gears, starter foot switch washers, Cutout cans, etc, All my 3D designs are free to use/copy.

Ive also documented in detail how I do 12volt starter modifications.

Thanks for sharing Jeff. So much knowledge is lost these days. People assume it will always be at hand.

I used to assume specific knowledge was being freely and graciously transferred in this hobby up until some recent interactions with a few folks who refused to share information. It was shocking, actually. That M.O. is not in my vocabulary.

So,if you're gonna talk the talk, walk the walk as they say. Taking valuable knowledge with you to the grave does nothing for anyone.... we are only temporary stewards to these old cars. They will pass to many, many others as time marches on. The deep knowledge of how to keep them going needs to as well.

You are exactly right Jeff, thanks for sharing. Some folks are scared if they share their knowledge their value in society will diminish, I disagree as the respect earned for helping others makes up for it

Can you create a FORUM for 3D part designs - this may be the way for parts to be created in the future

It's not a bad idea... unfortunately the Photos section doesn't support links (to the 3D designs) so it might need to be another forum.

Hi Jeff,

I got around that limitation for the videos by posting a screen shot, then put the link in the 'comments' section. See for an example: app.php/gallery/image/2991

Thank you for the work on the 3d's it is great to have access to.

Cheers
Adrian
