"On the Old Back Seat of the Henry Ford"

Another favorite is a song in part written by Al Jolson (one of my all-time favorite entertainers!). The music is wonderful. and the words great! It is basically about how country girls are better than city girls.
In it is a line, as a spoken 'aside', "You know, a country girl is just like a Ford, not very stylish but for service, OH LORD!"

Tons, if you have time to research. About or just a mention. Model T's are deeply planted in the subconscious of American culture, even if they don't know it.

There is a original pressing of an Edison Diamond Disc record that is played on a 250 Diamond Disc phonograph at the Museum entitled "The Little Ford Rambled Right Along " ... And they also have the original pressing song sheet framed on the wall.

My father collects automobile sheet music.

By far, the most common piece found on eBay, in antique stores, and at estate sales and swap meets, etc. is "Get Out and Get Under." The only reason to collect multiple copies is if your are a completist and want to have all of the different performers whose photos were featured on the lower right hand corner of the cover.

"The Little Ford Rambled Right Along" is not particularly rare and also occasionally shows up.

Two months ago, I acquired up a copy of "Take Me Out in Your Buick" at the neighborhood Goodwill and gave it to my father.

"The Automobile Spin" published in 1899 is supposedly the very first U.S. song written about automobiles. My dad would love to have a copy as the cover features an 1899 Waverley Electric Dos-a-dos which is virtually identical to his 1900 Waverley Electric Dos-a-dos.

I am a casual collector of 78 rpm records. I pick up automobile songs when I find them. I've also picked up "Henry Ford's Old Time Dance Orchestra" records.

On you tube is a video about a T Model tour in Australia titled "T Model Movie 2017". The whole video is well worth watching but if you scroll over to 15:00 minutes you'll find my favorite T Model song of all time. I think the title is "Gonna Buy Me A Model T Ford". Give a listen, it's a great song.

Nice to learn of another collector! The earliest piece in my collection is British and was published in 1898 and I have a number of then published in subsequent years. I have a copy of "Automobile Spin" and it does seem to be one of the earliest US published piece featuring an automobile. I do have a couple of others published that same year though.

One of my favorite topics! Of all the things I collect (spark plugs, brass lamps, etc. etc. etc. perhaps my favorite is early sheet music featuring the automobile. I've collected for over 40 years and have amassed a collection of several hundred different pieces. My focus is pre-WWII with greatest emphasis on the very early large format pieces from turn-of-the-century up to the end of the Model A era. The graphic images on the covers is really what appeals to me most. I've posted examples periodically on the AACA discussion forum, but digging into my Model T ford stuff, here are a few not previously mentioned-
