Although in the past I've acted as a docent, I'm not officially affiliated with the museum in any capacity. I want that to be clear, this is ME acting on an email I received, not in any official capacity for the Museum itself.
That said, I did get the latest issue of "The Klaxton", their newsletter, and the solicitation for funds to upgrade the electrical system.
The building itself is amazing! It is literally a time capsule from the very early 1900s. Even with the Studebaker addition in the 1920's, it still has remained, for the most part, relatively untouched.
If you can, please consider them helping to preserve this landmark building, where not only was US history changed, but the world as well. The first approximately 12000 Model Ts were built there, along with the development of the prototype. It is the first building Ford Motor Company built, and where all of the 'alphabet cars' through the Model T were built until 1910.
