Still have a few bugs to work out but I’m almost there. This was a 23 touring converted to a wood saw by my wife’s great grandfather. They swapped the cowl and engine from a 26. Her great aunt said they took the body off and threw it in the gully behind the house. It’s long gone. She remembered riding to school in it with her brothers and sisters.

Beautiful job restoring your “T”. These cars are really fun to restore, but a great deal of work goes into them. Anyone’s efforts are so worth the while though. Enjoy!

Thanks, I was talking to the youngest of the third generation that was the last to drive it today. He was 14 years old and him and his cousin got it running. They drove it a couple hundred yards and ran into a gully. They got in trouble and it was put in that carport where it is in the photo, that was 1953. I was able to find old state registrations and they said it was a 23. I was able to use basically the frame and a few other parts. I still have the wood saw that was mounted on the rear. My wife’s great aunt told us a lot of stories of what they did without their parents knowledge. He made them drive it in low, told them not to put it in high. That trip to school was at least six miles.

...and I'll bet some of it was done in hi anyway... the nature of kids doesn't change much through the generations!

I love these stories how life gets in the way, but you don’t give up. The time gets away faster than we realize. Congratulations the car looks great. Hard to believe what you started with.

Looks great Don. When I was over there the other week you still had a great deal to do. Glad you were able to get it finished with all the heat since then. It has slowed me down.

I got to see this car up close today and it is NICE. First set of "blockly" tires I have laid eyes on to. They are different that's for sure
