What ??.. A collection of Model T photos with no adult sitting on the hood ?!..I was befuddled by the photo of the suited man standing by the ‘17-‘18 touring that has no top saddles Thanks again Tom; for finding and sharing these photos.

That touring with no saddles is later than 17-18. It has a black radiator but the top is still straight but opens inward. I would say it is a 20 through 22.

The 6th photo down has had more issues than top saddles. If you notice the panel in front of the right rear door , it , the splash aprons and hood do not have a shine like other body parts on the car. May have been wrecked or upset at some time and repaired with used body parts and a new top puton.

That sixth photo is interesting. Non-electric and non-demountable wheels don't mean a lot, as the base model continued that way until the end for runabouts and touring cars. The difference in condition, shine, etc, casts doubt about a number of things. I tend to agree that he cars was somehow damaged, and repairs may account for some issues. The outer panel beside the front seat is very interesting. It almost looks as if a replacement panel was added to the outside of the seat? There appear to be screws in the two visible corners. It could even be a piece of oilcloth or top material attached there, although I can't think of a good reason for it.
As for the year of the car. Considerable doubt on this one. Both front and rear seats do appear to have the upholstery tack strip outside the body panel, causing the upholstery to overhang the seat panels. That would indicate anything from 1917 to possibly as late as an early 1921. The rear tub is the five panel type with a bead around the rear fender supporting the 1917 into 1921 timeframe.
The square wood felloe wheels suggest 1918 or later, and I think 1918s mostly still had round felloe wheels. Uneven windshield hinges may eliminate an early 1917? And the square top sockets indicate about 1919 or later. However any or all of those things might have been changed to later parts if the car was in fact repaired.
I tried zooming in to the front end. Detail isn't very clear, but I "think" I can see an over-axle wishbone with an under-axle brace added.
My guess would be a 1919 or 1920 base model. Most likely a 1919 if it was with an over-axle wishbone.
But I sure wonder what that is outside the front seat?
