Time to completely tear-down/rebuild the steering components on my 1927 Touring. Quick question on spindle arm bushings. I have a set of T-2714 bushings. I also have a T-2718 bolt set that came with bushing. Any thoughts on which bushings would be best to use? Thinking the bushings that came with the bolt set would be best instead of using the T-2714s, but wanted to get a few opinions? The T-2714s have a seam. The T-2718 bushings don't have a seam and seem sturdier.
Also, is there supposed to be a bushing where the spindle arm goes into the spindle itself? There wasn't one there when I took mine apart.

Re: '27 Spindle Bushings
Raymond, I always substitute bronze bushes for those pieces of split tin. The best ones are re-machined old king pin bushes, with a little of the top flange left to take up play and provide a thrust surface for the yoke.

Re: '27 Spindle Bushings
I would go with the early bronze bushings. That way you don't wear out the tie rod bolts. Forget zerks. You don't need them.
