Model T accessory??

This came in a parts lot of Model T stuff. Is it some sort of optional part or accessory??

Ha ! Dave, you’re too funny....All seriousness aside - It’s a steering stabilizer. The bottom part between the 2 spring circles (on the runningboard) fastened to the rod bolted to the 2 spindle arms and the 2 “”antenna”” simply were forced onto the backside of the front axle.

It's a groove maker. It digs grooves in your tie rod. :D

Steve is absolutely correct. This is a cheap temporary fix for a loose front end. These were often used during the Depression when people often couldn't afford a good front end rebuild.

Absolutely right Steve. These work very well as evidenced by the very precise grooves cut into the tie rod on our 26 Touring when we bought it.
