What do you do with a 5 gallon bucket of cams?
Looks a load of “ low background steel”.

Someday you’ll be looking for a cam gear nut and remember this bucket o’ cams.

Salvage all the cam bearings, pins, nuts & gears that look real nice.

OR Paint the cams green & the gears multi colors. Set the bucket full outside near the door.
Pop art!

I have used ones like that a lot. They kind of work.
Shouldn't most be good enough to regrind?

Half of those are probably better than some cams I have that I hope to use in an upcoming or currently stalled model T project!

I know I could use the nose off the ends, gears don't hurt either

I don't think low background steel is as valuable as it used to be.

If I need cam nuts I will go to the cam parts drawer full on NOS ones. But do plan to take those off.
Low background must still be paying cause people are still stealing WW2 ships off the bottom of the ocean.

I used a bunch to line the tray in the fireplace that holds the logs off the floor - they NEVER burn through. Been roughly 20 years and I bet they still could be re-used in a car.

Check with Chaffins. They do regrinds. Might need some good cores.
