I’m wondering if this is a Model T or a T chassis or some T parts sitting on it. Never the less it’s a good photo to post of a car left out and forgotten years ago! Maybe in the 50’s? The fenders for sure aren’t Ford but something else.

Several body builders in Australia until Ford took control in 1925, some would build Deluxe bodies with their own style of fenders.

Interesting to see that photo pop up on the USU forum. where did you find it Daryl?
The car was found in country New South Wales, Australia, in the late 1960's. The car was restored using the front half of the touring body and a custom made rear runabout/roadster was made to the restorers specifications. It is a 1918 Model.
Typical of the time, an Aussie body was built on the Canadian supplied chassis. This particular car was a rare survivor as the body was made by a very low volume custom body maker. The body builders name eludes me at the moment ,but I do have it on record somewhere.
Here is a link to a previous post where there is a picture of the car.

The car is still loved and driven by its current owners. Coincidently, the original owner/restorer was a friend of my Dads, who gave him a lot of advice and encouragement when he was restoring the 1916 Tourer which I now own.

Here is another post dating back to 2014. It is a very informative posts, discussing many aspects of the Aussie Model T' bodies and their builders. Reference and photos of the 1918 "Peel Bros" Roadster red pictured in this post are featured in this link post.

After 10 years I enjoyed reading this post once again. Enjoy.

I’ll bet the Aussie bodied Model T’s don’t show up much in a barn very often anymore. There was one “ as found” condition just a few days ago on the forum but if there are any just left in the open field anymore it’s even rarer to find one of those.

Looks like the Down Under, Our Gang is installing a dog as an engine. It would not be the first.
