I have a 1916 Touring with a 21-22 motor with generator and starter. What does the trans/engine weigh? What would you recommend to carry engine after removal from chassis?
Thanks,

Joe Bell says 550 lbs. others have suggested anywhere from 410-475 lbs. estimates include starter and generator. Recommend to carry engine after frame removal ?? NFL Defensive lineman or 2 ton hoist….

I mount the engine, less starter on an engine stand. Set the transmission end down to keep the weight low. I tear down the engine from it.
Sometimes I use a modified shopping cart. Basket removed.

My recollection from previous posts is that the 550 lb weight is on a pallet, and possibly with a starter, generator and manifolds

Something like this works real well for me. Stole the idea/dimensions from Joe Bell!
