Front spring lowering brackets.

Has anyone seen or have any information on the style of brackets shown in the photos below?

They mount over the axle and are clamped in place, above (around the yoke) and below the axle. You can see where the original spring perches had been cut down to allow for the installation. They do not appear to be the most secure or confidence inspiring design, quite the opposite to be honest.

I am just trying to put a name/brand to them, and I have not been able to find anything that looks like them. Any and all help is always appreciated. The pile that they came in also had a set of bent front and rear springs, similar to the one pictured below (I forgot to take pictures of the springs, the one below is stolen from the internet without permission).

These are not lowering brackets. They allow the use of a heavier duty front spring. Not what you want for a speedster.

Eric may be on the money. I have seen similar installations. However, rather than heavier springs the mountings allow a longer spring, supposedly to improve the ride. The ones I have seen use an even longer spring than this one.

The rusty front spring mod shown allows a longer spring, which would improve ride. Hardware would have to be high quality and kept tight. Forged steel parts are very strong, and they could be hand-filed to give a good tight fit on the axle.
The rear spring mod in the picture is very bad practice. The spring cannot function properly with the leaves bent as shown.

Nope, not at all. I just like to be able to identify and label everything correctly, just trying to make it easier for the guy that ends up with the parts, whomever that may be. It doesn't show up in the photos I took, but the axle with the aftermarket brackets has a bend that would just about match a Livingston radiator. Probably the traditional chain around the front axle routine caused the damage. It will be stripped of any usable parts (not many at all) and then off to start its new life at the scrapyard.
