A Job I've Not Done

Today, I had a spare couple of hours, and tried a job I've never done before. I installed a new felt in a front hub dust cap. The most difficult part was removing the old hard felt. After that it wasn't too bad, but I wondered if that new felt would fit. It did. I wonder how many of you guys have ever tried this? The new ones from Langs are $13.45, so this cost me nothing since I had the felt.

I am a cheapskate. I have done that several times, and usually cut my own from scrap felt.

I use modern oil seals. I am sure Henry would as well if they were around back then...
