You nailed it. Below is the link, pic and enhancements of a nice 1906 Ford Model K. First year of the K, Ford sold about 300. While that seems like a small number, it catapulted FMC to the position of largest six cylinder producer in the world, out producing Napier, Rolls (first 6), Stevens-Duryea, Franklin, National and the other “six” makers in the world.

The K also kept Ford in the black, generating 85% of Ford Motor Co.’s new car profit for fiscal year 1906.
