Russell Sabadosa is the new owner of a very large model T truck that was used to sell popcorn and peanuts to folks. He lives in Belcher Massachusetts and needs help getting the truck started. The truck ran fine on Wednesday when we loaded it up from Richmond, Indiana. He also could use a little instruction on driving the truck. We are hoping someone that lives close by could take some time and help this gentleman out. His phone number is. 413 537 0973

Need a little more information.
1. Had the truck been run regularly, at least once a month before it was moved?
2. Was the person who started it before, present when it wouldn't start?
3. Is the person who is trying to start the vehicle familiar with Model T's?
4. Is this a Model T which would be built on a standard T. chassis same as a car chassis? Or is a TT Truck which is much larger chassis?
With some of the above background it would be much easier to answer your questions and give assistance.
I am sure there are many people familiar with your vehicle around Richmond.
Norm

From the posts my impression is the truck is now in Massachusetts. You might want to re-post with the title "New Owner needs help in Massachusetts." That way you'll get the attention of someone who may be able to help. Good luck!

This truck was run several times this fall. I live in Richmond Indiana and started it each of those times, including on Wednesday. I live too far away from where the truck is now to help him. Unfortunately, he is not familiar with old cars or a model T I have tried to assist him over the phone, but I believe he needs someone to physically come there and help him

Sounds like the new owner doesn’t know how to drive the truck or new to T’s. Hopefully someone that’s knowledgeable with TT trucks is around to know what to do.
The Title of the post needs to be clearer to get more responses.

Absolutely. I looked at the post out of idle curiosity, but if even I were the world's expert on Model T trucks, I'd probably have skipped it.

Belchertown? There are people in that area but don’t frequent the forum. I’m in north adams ma but know there are others in Belchertown and also a good crew of model t people in the Deerfield area.

You beat me to it - there is no town of Belcher in Massachusetts.

The truck is actually in Agawam and he lives in Belchertown. Sorry about the mixup. He may have just flooded it and the cold weather didn’t help much. He would really appreciate the help as he has no experience with this kind of vehicle. It started and ran well in Richmond before it was hauled to Massachusetts so I don’t think it will take much to get it going. Hopefully someone can find the time to call him and go over there to help.

Tom Carey lives in Belchertown, he hasn’t been on here in a few years though. Worth a shot. Tomc is his user name.

The Purple Cow was the name the builder gave the truck when he built it. The back of the truck has a picture of a purple cow and a poem with the name “Purple Cow” in it. It also has the name featured in stained glass across the top of the back.
The vehicle has been on loan and displayed at the MTFCA Museum for several years. We are sad to see it go but happy to say it will be used in parades In Massachusetts.

Isn't there a place called Lang's in MA? I have heard that there is a person there that is familiar with Model T's.

Benjamin. Please do. I know he would appreciate that. We were all new to model tees at one time and could use the advice and help from more experienced people.

Someone in my group has reached out to him. Hopefully we can all get together soon. I’m the odd duck, I’m a father of a young child so sometimes it prevents me from getting too far away but he will have support nonetheless!
