I need a quick measurement.........

Post by George Andreasen » Fri May 24, 2019 9:48 pm

I assembled my transmission "of many parts" and discovered that the space between the drums is uneven. Could someone slide a feeler gauge between their drums and give me the measurement? Not really sure if corrective action needs to be taken yet, but it would be nice to have an idea of what it's supposed to be.

Thanks and have a great Memorial Day weekend! And remember what it signifies.............. ;)

On my ‘17 engine, cold, I have:

Reverse
.056
Low
.058
Brake
If my short term memory gets any shorter, I won’t even have thought about what I’m going to forget.

Thank you.....and of course, mine are all over the place but at least I have an idea of what a "normal" setup is supposed to be. I think I'll "dry assemble" the engine (no gaskets) and see how the bands line up.
