I have had a lot of early spindle arms but just ran across this pair they have a sharp bend a lot more than the standard early arms, what year were these used? Bob

Those are weird! Can't help ya...even the judging guidelines don't show any like that. Aftermarket maybe? Different brand of car?

Are wide-track spindle arms different from standard? I'm just throwing this out without ANY facts to fall upon.

Clever thought Mark. If the tie rod and drag link are standard fitment on Wide tracks, it make good sense.

The odd shaped spindle arms, with Ford part numbers, appear to be unused, perhaps a repro intended for a special purpose

I wonder if they were modified for some sort of Gow job back in the day?

That’s a pretty severe angle for a modification I’d think. Especially with cast steels tendency to snap.

Any chance they could be tractor? They have a really short wheelbase, requiring a sharper angle for the steering arms.
Model T spindle arms are not cast iron. They are steel, probably drop forgings. They can be bent cold or hot, and even welded without much trouble. I have straightened several wrecked ones in the past, and for one racing car needed to custom bend to clear the special suspension. That car I drove VERY hard! Never had a hint of trouble from it.

However, they can be broken. Just ask Ed Archer about the Baja Run!

More photos we had about 300 arms over the last 30 years when sorting we found these in 2 separate places bought at separate times what are the odds they match? Bob

In the last photo there is absolutely no distortion in the part number and the maker's mark. This would suggest there is no modification to the arms, as these marks would be distorted in any bending. The mystery remains.
