Can someone post a picture or two of a 27 Touring with Vaporizer link. You know choke linkage, etc. Thanks Dan

Do you specifically need a ‘27 touring ? If so, I ain’t got no ‘27 touring but I hope this helps. The choke wire fastens to a spring loaded lever inboard of the intake throat. See the outboard choke lever on the same shaft with nothing fastened for hand crank choking.

Thanks Bob. I didn’t know how the choke wire thru the radiator looked. Now I see the bend several inches behind the radiator. I guess that’d be clotheshanger gauge wire ?

Hey George .... The regular brass choke wire that our vendors sell fits the use a little bit better than the larger gauge clothes hanger wire.... One length will would be slightly longer from outside the radiator to the choke lever at the vaporizer, conversely, not enough wire to fit between the inside vaporizer choke lever to the mixture rod anchor.. so another length of wire would be used to match and cut to length.

Dan, here's a picture I have on hand of rthe vaporizer on my 27 (Canadian) Touring. If you still need more detail, let me know and I can get more pictures. I believe that the rod going from the choke lever to the mixture rod is original Ford part (6299), while the wire going out through the rad cover is just a piece of copper wire that I used to replace the missing one on the car.

It's common for the choke return spring to be broken. It wraps around the butterfly shaft. I've seen a few on them with an additional spring mounted externally. Without it, the choke will suck itself shut.
