Under the engine accessory motor support. Others will comment also.

Relieves the stress on the crankcase ears which sometimes break causing the engine to drop. Those are one way of adding extra support.

It is an oil pan support strap (aka belly sling), the purpose was to prevent the crank case arms from breakage. Repro's avaiable at Lang's

You are missing the proper hooks that wrapped around the frame.

Over time, the pan ears can get weak, causing the engine to sag. This was designed to relieve the pan ears of much of the weight it supports that will prevent the ears from weakening or breaking. Jim Patrick

Should not be too hard to fabricate

I agree with NY JohnT
I don’t have any pics of the hooks to post but those aren’t hard to copy and fabricate.

The one hook that you do have is a correct hook. It is the earlier version that was made by the manufacturer. It has been my understanding that the manufacturer switched from the "strap" version to the "forked" version of the hook when Ford began using the diagonal support straps that bolted to the back of the block and went down to the pan mounting ears.

Here is an older forum post about the supports including some original ads.
