Anyone know or tried to see if Rootlieb will sell just the louvered hood sides for a 26-7 T? The sides I’ve got are so hammered up at the louvers they look pretty bad, and to try to hammer out each one individually out straight seems like a task. I’ve contacted them to no avail yet and just wondered if anyone had tried to buy sides only…

If not, wondering if you could find a speedster builder to go in with you on a hood as they could use the top and you could use the sides.

Rootlieb panels are the best. However, expecting their side panels to match up perfectly with the hinge line of an original may be asking just a little too much. Perhaps they know of possible difficulties, and don't want to put you out.

From what I remember there were 4 different suppliers of Model A hoods, with varying hinge location. Not the pattern, the location, so you had a 1 in 4 chance of our sides hooking up to your tops and having a good edge front and rear. I’m sure there were more suppliers in the T era. Most T people would buy a complete hood because they mostly got trashed. A people would seek out tops only because our sides used rivet heads that were .003 larger in diameter than Ford.
