Be interested in pictures or diagrams showing how it was done.

Love to be able to have both on the outside of the body on the left-hand side and would like to see how others who have done it accomplished it.

I have seen one's with the brake lever moved outboard but not also the shifter.

Here is (a bad) pic of my outboard Ruxtel and e-brake levers. I don’t hand crank this car so abandoned the ratchet mechanism. It makes parking a bit tedious at times, but oh well! Both are made from modified e-brake levers, the brake lever is 3/4” shaft, and the shift lever is welded to a piece of tube that pivots on the brake shaft

I'll be tackling the same on my speedster. On the last one I built, I made a new cross shaft / e brake shaft that goes underneath the driveshaft, but with a 6 inch extension on the driver side. Moved the ratchet mechanism to the outside of the body, making a bracket that braced on the underside of the seat, and then a tab that went down to connect to the cross shaft so when you pull the ratchet lever on the shaft and bracket cannot flex independently. I left the normal shaft underneath the back of the transmission pan and then ran a remote rod between the two. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures.

I did not put the park brake outside the the body but did move the the Ruckstell shifter out side the body. I mounted the shifter on the radius
rod & drive shaft tube so the shifter moves with the driveline outside independent of & under the body. I installed the shift lever up so the shift handle is reversed from normal. ( Ruckstell forward & Ford back ) Craig.

Found these 2 pics. Love to see the undersides of these cars. My car has one of those brake equalizer set ups for a 20-27 T that allows the brake to work as either foot operated or the hand brake lever. But I am removing it and going to just stock style lever E-Brake.

I want to use a Model A brake lever for the outboard left-hand shift lever for the Ruckstell and the OEM lever as is but keep the left side E-brake connection in the stock location. Craig, I like how you got yours going in opposite directions. I imagine if I have both outboard, I will have to take the knee bend out of them.

Well, I have not built this set-up but I have thought about it. It uses a factory parking brake shaft extended to the outside of the speedster body. A tube with a handle welded on slides over the extended section of the parking brake shaft. The factory emergency brake handle then goes on. For a speedster appearance, a “gate style” quadrant goes around the Ruckstell and emergency brake handles. It would require a clever Ruckstell shift rod to go from outside the frame to the shifter on the Ruckstell.

Thanks Chris and Craig. I was thinking of doing the gate but having the levers off set using a Model A brake lever for the Ruckstell and possibly taking the knee bend out of the T lever. But I may want the extra separation. But the tube over shaft single mount look would be a lot cleaner.

I am going to do like Craig and have them go in opposite directions. Also going to try and get another right-side e brake end to use where the stock lever would have been for the left-side connection of the OEM brake rod. I think that would be easier to use than trying to use the cut-off end from the lever after it goes outboard.

Ruckstel and Model T brake lever on the same shaft. All levers are farther back than stock location. Ruckstel shifter goes through, Model T brake lever goes forward to actual cross shaft that is Model T brake/shift handle.
