Bendix variation.

While sorting some Bendix parts today, I found an interesting variation in some drive heads.
The one on the right is the expected one , 1/2" wide. There were three like the left one at 9/16". Does it make any real difference?

I have found them to "spread" quite easily - perhaps just simple use they expand ?

Bendix drives came in many variation.
Attached is a copy of a very handy Bendix drive catalog that will help you identify all the different parts and their application.

Thankyou Ron. It would appear Steve is on the money with "expansion". The components in question jump from 1/2" to 5/8" in the listings, so my 9/16" items look like they began life as the usual 1/2" variety used in model T's.
