Nice drive

Last Saturday My wife and I went to a show 59 miles away. I cruised around 35mph most of the trip, once in a while she would creep up to 4omph but for the most part it was 35mph.. It took an hour and 40 minuets one way. Of course Saturday would be a record heat day so the trip home at 89 degrees was a bit warm. I might note that I do not have a water pump and the car never got hot. It stayed at the lower line on the motometer and and my digital temp gage it never got over 214 degrees. Even with all the insulation I have around the firewall and floor board's we were well cooked by the time we got home. I filled up before leaving and we still had almost 4 gallons of fuel left when I got home. 118 miles altogether but the old T ran like a champ, And no leaks!!!!! Great day.

Great drive and good info. I've been monitoring my truck for temperature with a thermal gun and its running around 210 in and 145 out with the outside temp in the low 80's. So where did you install your temperature sensor for the digital?
Thanks
Steve

So how was the car show and what did they think of your Model T ? Did you take any pictures ?
I'm glad everything went well.

My car was the oldest and the oldest that was driven to the show there was a 1927 T but it was a trailer queen. Steve, I drilled and tapped the gooseneck for the temperature probe.

I tried to attach some pictures of how I did it. But I can’t seem to load them. I’m not sure why.

I should note that no holes were drilled other than the goose neck to mount the probe
