Block is stamped 14535605 which I looked up and seems to be nov 1926 date but there is no Ford logo cast on the block nor the head and there are no visible casting numbers as well. Why?

It could be that your block is an aftermarket block not specifically made by Ford. A LOT of T parts were made by aftermarket folks. Your block is probably an aftermarket block that was used to replace the Ford block previously used. In other words the engine number came off the original Ford engine and put on the replacement aftermarket block at a garage or Ford dealership years and years ago. The original block had some issues. A lot has happened to T’s after nearly 100 years! This is my guess.
I have a non marked T head in my T parts bldg. I think this has been brought up on the forum before.

Ford script on the block quit around 1924 and casting dates quit around 1922. Others may be more precise. Ford script on the head quit for the ‘new and Improved’ models (‘26&’27). You have an original Ford block and head.

I agree with George. I know Ford ceased casting the Ford script on the block in the early 20's (I'll trust him on the dates, and it is well established that Ford scrpt wasn't present on 26-27 heads.

Thanks for the feed back/info now I know it's not odd I'll proceed with disassembly.

I’ve wondered why Ford didn’t use the Ford logo in the latter T years. Probably something to do with saving money since Model T’s were on their way out. I have a mid year 24 Coupe I restored several years ago. I’ll check to see if the block has Ford on it. I can’t remember. I do have a 25 block for a spare for the 24 and it doesn’t have the Ford logo on it.

I have one like that in one of my 26 T's. Many years ago I had a bolt come out of the brake drum to driven plate and the bolt stripped off the threads from the starter gear on the flywheel. I was going to replace it, but went to a swap meet and found this one with the transmission mounted all ready to install. It had been rebuilt by Lee Pierce, who was a retired navy machinist in Chula Vista and had Model T's. He had machine equipment in his garage. Anyway, I never did stamp the number on the block. I saved the original engine which still ran when I pulled it. So if I ever sell the car, I must notify my son who will be my executor if I still own it at the time of death. Whoever buys that car gets a spare engine with it. I didn't want two engines with the same number so the original one goes with the car.
