If anyone would like to have power step mounted on a running board for us that have challenges getting in any model T, send me an email and I will send you photos of two we just put on our cars. Easy install ( 4-hours), built for 12 volt but runs great on 6 volt. Buy from Amazon $211. HOMEON WHEELS ELECTRIC RV STEP.

Here's mine. The running board mounted spare tyre on Henrietta means I have to get in on the passenger's side. When my wife rides with me she uses this manually controlled step after I am seated.

Once on board, she hauls it in on the fully flexible retrievable mechanism and stows it in place.

I was really pleased with the low cost for such convenience.

Hey Allan, The "passenger side" on your car sure looks the driver's side here in the USA. (I couldn't resist!) Is that a tool box on the running board? I've never seen a round one..... I like it.

Been using the box and rope for many years. Thought we'd try something else.

David, the toolbox on the running board is made from an old 4 gallon oil drum. The end is stamped with 1940's date, so it was created after that. When I got the car, there was all sorts of stuff buried in there. I have kept a couple of the old spark plugs, a short length of agricultural elevator chain and a non functioning rabbit trap, which serves as a wheel chock when the car is on display.

I have added a tool roll of model T tools and a set of Australian made ring spanners.
