Are the wire wheels early V8? If they are I wonder how they mounted them.

Wire wheels are Early Ford V8 (probably 16" from 1935). How they mounted them is unknown, but people were resourceful, even back then.

There is a couple of A models here with 36 V8 wheels. Makes them look like hotrod! Apparently they are a bolt on fit, so T to A adaptors would work.

I put 16" Chev wheels on a T once. While the tyres gave good flotation on loose sand, the car was almost impossible to steer, having way to much kickback through the T front end.
Perhaps the border patrol man had an answer for this.

When you substantially change the outside diameter and/or width
Of your steer tires, you have to make appropriate changes to the caster & toe.

The radiator looks like a '28-'28 Model A. The hood, cowl gas tank and windshield may be Model A also. It's quite a design project.

I caught the model A radiator, but thought the cowl was probably ‘26-7. I believe you’re right, Rich - that looks to be model A too. Can’t make it out clearly, but the dash cluster could be late ‘30-‘31 ?? Comfy seating !

Is the steering column from a T? It’s been mentioned but the steering on the car must have been tough. The bigger wheels and tires sure wouldn’t have been easy to turn without a modification somewhere in the front end. But they might have had to live with it.

I missed the A model connection. If it is an A model, the steering will be much less compromised than a T model.

It’s a puzzle for sure Allan, but what is visible of the engine is definitely model T.
