I'm concerned about my new Mclaren wheel nuts coming loose as there is no taper or no lock washer. Anyone with experience with these wheels?

I used longer bolts so I could use a lock washers.

Apparently nobody has had any issues with these, but if it were my car, I would never use the brass acorn nuts to hold wheels on.

I have had McLaren wheels on my 14 touring for 20 years. We have been on many long tours. Never a problem with nuts loosening. However, make sure to check your hubcaps regularly. I have lost 2 hubcaps. One came off with a bang somewhere near Savannah, Georgia. The other one disappeared quietly on a tour stop in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Maybe fell off, maybe only hand tight and taken as a souvenir by an admirer. They came off different hubs. Now, I make sure that they are tight before any tour, good time to check nuts as well. A tiny bit of permatex on the new hubcaps has kept them tight.
Enjoy your wheels. My wife thinks the ride is much improved, and I agree.
