Well - whoever repainted my '27 got it right, judging by the green in the photo. I have been wondering for the nearly ten years that I have owned it how close the green on the car is to Highland Green.

Thank you, Edwin! It is a very good looking color on your car and I hope that you post pictures of your Tudor when you have it completed.

For all the help that my forum chums have afforded me.... there will be several pictures and maybe a video or two!!!

I have an ongoing computer problem with photos. Perhaps my daughter can solve it the next time that she visits this old geezer. In all honesty, I think that it's more likely that the problem is me, but this has been going on since Windows updated itself about a year and a half ago.
Since I flew Pipers for 42 years, I doubt that I'll forget you. Google N2024P in the FAA registry - I flew that one for 38 years and it was my last airplane.

I had a windows laptop that I bought to take traveling. I never took a trip with it when it didn't betray me ("The parameter was not correct.") I was greatly relieved when I finally sold it for $100.

Mine is an ancient HP tower. The computer itself is still fine, and I'll bet it's close to a dozen years old. I always (and I do mean always) run into grief whenever Windows does an update. My daughter is usually able to bail the old man out, but a couple of times I have had to call a pro. This time it puts photos wherever it feels like putting them, then I have to play hide and seek. When I do find what I am looking for, it doesn't matter, because When I try to attach a photo, it will always come up with a photo of an ancient set of articulated sheet metal cutters that a guy at a yard sale threw in when I bought something else.

Not sure what "Windows Update" you are referring to for a 12 year old computer. Mentioning the time frame - " Microsoft ended the loophole that still allowed for free upgrades to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and 8 in September of 2023". Having said that, if you converted to Windows 10 earlier than that (was available in July 2015 for free) there have be numerous updates ever since. You (or your Daughter) can check to see if your current by clicking on the wheel icon in the lower left corner of you screen (if you don't see it then click on the windows icon key on your key board the four whit rectangles in a perspective)

Interesting the number of pilots on this forum, the wingspan of my favourite steed wasn't all that different to a 73:

FWIW I use Linux, and have done for many years. I won't evangalise here, but I can thoroughly recommend it for its stability and simple interface; images put in one place will stay there, and it generally suffers much less from crashes and unnecessary license cr*p than M$ Windows. Free to put on your machine too...

I don't want to contribute too much to thread drift, but suffice to say it's another good product of your country which, like the T, has a strong place in transport history.

If I said it was a 'plane of many firsts (incl first flight just a few years after T production ended), had a couple of P&W R1830's, and saw a lot of service in WWII I imagine that'd give it away? Think 'trains' for an additional clue

Hahah, I thought if I referenced your name it was probably a bit too obvious, but you've got it ok

They're a wonderful machine which I consider myself privileged to have been able to fly and work on. Expensive to maintain, but still able to get parts which is a plus, bit like the T in that respect. Also simple like the T (well, compared to a modern a/c!) which, in my view, is not detrimental to the flight characteristics - and all the wheels are all the right place.

Not sure if you've been at the pointy end of one but, if so, you might agree that perhaps the only thing that could be improved is cabin noise!

At + 22ft I guess that must be a NG 73? Navajo and Seneca don't fit that billing.
