The rivers here are back in their banks and I'm looking forward to several dry days.
Chestnut Avenue is one of three roads into town. It's high and dry now, but the swift current did enough damage that it will be closed for awhile.

How about Mike Walker in Arkansas? He’s on the very flooded Arkansas River. Haven’t heard from him. Has he washed down to Baton Rouge? Hope not...

The Arkansas River through Tulsa looked more like the Mississippi River for several days – wide and fast moving. It flooded numerous areas along its course as the waters rose due to increased output flow from the upstream Keystone Lake Dam. The river is now below flood stage and cleanup is going well. I live five miles east of the river so it didn’t pose any problem in my neighborhood. I did, however, get some water seepage into my workshop due to the heavy rains.

We have been dealing with the flooding from the MO. River here in NW MO. since mid March, still going on. Fortunately, we live in the hills, but many friends and businesses have been impacted a lot. Many farmers lost grain bins full of corn and beans because they couldn't get in to them to empty them out because the ground was too soft from the hard freeze we had this winter. Bins swelled up and split wide open.Our local low rent housing just got flooded out last week by a flash flood from a creek in the south end of town, many residents had moved in there because they were displaced by the flooding MO. River. Google "MO. River Flood 2019 Big Lake MO." to see what it was like in March. River stage at Rulo NE. hit 28.3ft. I think, all time record high. The river is likely to stay well above flood stage for most of the summer they say. It's been like this all up and down the MO. River basin. Many other local rivers and creeks have been flooding too.
