I did a search of past postings, lot's of chatter about valve stem size but could not find any real report on the tubes them self. Any reports on how well they hold up? I am in the planing stage of putting 21" wheels on my Huckster to get more rubber on the ground and am getting together wheels, rims and tires. And yes I am going to use "FLAPS" which I have!

Mark, I presume if you are getting together wheels, rims and tyres, you are using wooden wheels and split rims. This is exactly the case when flaps are needed, to prevent damage to he tube at the rim joint. Well done.

I just picked up a set of 21 x 4.50 tubes from Lucas the other day for a '26 roadster and were impressed by the quality. They cost $15. compared to 25 plus from vendors so I was concerned. They're made in India and so far are working perfect.
You don't say what kind of wheels. You may not need those flaps like allan said?

Harold, thanks for your comment but if he is using 21" wire wheels with the dropped center he should Not be using a flap. We just had a Devil of a time getting one off. Those type of rims only need a thin band to cover the center spoke area. Sounds like he is using wood wheels and some use a flap in them to protect the tube.

I used Lucas tires and tubes with my new 21" McLaren wheels. I was pleased that the tubes are much thicker than ones I have gotten from Coker.

Gene, the reason I asked for clarification on whether the OP was using rims was to ascertain whether he had wire or wooden wheels. He responded that he has rims, so they are for wooden wheels = split rims = the need for flaps. Flaps are used in split rims and rims with lockrings like TT rear wheels, but not on drop centre wheels like 26-7 T wire wheels.

Correct. Ether wood or Chevrolet disk, same difference both are split rims.
