Here is a picture of two NOS parts that were on same wire. They came out of same Ford dealer. Same factory number on each.
But the ends are made different. Different manufacturers, cut ones cheaper to make?
You can see they are T 7648, front spring hanger bars. Part number 3814 I believe.
Am ideas as to why? Round one earlier than the cut ones.
There were more cut than rounded ones. Thanks Dan

My guess - Its easier/cheaper to maintain a straight cut die than a radiused one.

I believe the one with the clipped corners is the most common.

However they skipped the rounded ends step it was one last step to get the brackets out a little easier and faster. It could be the squared ends were machined or ground off to the rounded ends was the step that was elimited. Or maybe stamped as mentioned.
