It’s a ford puller , similar to 5Z362 3 jaw cam gear puller but this is 4 jaw and has no number.

Could it be the difference for a 4 spoke gear vs a 3 spoke gear?

A bit of overkill, but I have also used it as a steering wheel puller.

5Z362 is listed as is listed as a cam gear puller (3 jaw) if 5Z361 is listed as a large timing gear puller( 4 jaw). The 3 jaw doesn’t work on the cam gear.

The 5-Z-361 for the 4 spoke gear on the left and the 5-Z-362 for the later 3 spoke gear on the right? Both pullers are shown in the 1925 Parts Price List, and the 362 is listed for the "3 spoke design" gear.
