Anyone out there looking for old vintage gas pumps, and m have a Model T or parts to trade?

I’m always looking for parts, and these days I’m looking for a sedan.
I figured I’d put it out there to see what happens.
I like to see things I have collected and protected through the decades go to someone who will continue to appreciate our American heritage.

I’m going to keep things more simple and focus more on Model T’s and the occasional Model A.

I found this one after someone pushed it over. Many hours knocking dents out of it. It is all metal finished, no body filler.

I’ve been collecting them for quite a while.
These days, I want to focus more on T’s. And sometimes, trading is more fun than buying.

I really need to finish the matching lubester I have to go with it

How is it that old gas pumps are o.k. but water pumps are frowned upon in the T-world

That’s a fair question. But how good would it feel to refuel an old T just like our parents did.

It’s great to see a couple of Fry 117’s (AKA Mae West pumps) side by side.

Very true. But it makes us appreciate the originals so much more.
Just like all the classic, vintage, and antique cars. I’ve never been a fan of the hot-rod. I favor the originals, and those who managed to preserve them.

Yous guys should have been at the auction at Luray a couple of years ago. It was an old Texaco dealer. They had something like 20+ Visible pumps. Even have a 5 gal Fly. There were pumps from before Visible types. Dozens of 6 foot signs.
Even a 15 Touring car that had not been out since 63.

I am not going into my attic to look at the manufac information on the box. It’s too darn hot.

A few years ago I started looking for a replacement cylinder for my still unrestored calliope gas pump. Since it has ten different tubes for each gallon measure, it takes a larger diameter cylinder. Searches at Hershey found many smaller diameter glass cylinders available but nothing for my pump. So five to seven years ago I searched the gas pump sites and the internet and found a business who makes the cylinders.

They’re out there, keep looking.

Rick, I believe mine is 13-5/8” inches in diameter.

Oh, I understand.
I thought you were looking for the cylinder to start your restoration.
Been there many times myself.
