Dodged a bullet. Intake wheezing.

Finally got my 2/27 engine running quietly enough to hear myself think and noticed a high pitched wheezing sound coming from the intake area. Felt around and did not notice any difference and thought for sure I had a bad manifold gasket or copper rings. Sprayed carb cleaner and brake cleaner and really did not identify the exact location of the wheezing, although it would occasionally bod down or fire up slightly.
This motor did have a stove pipe attached to it and I thought I would remove it to hald ID the issue. Upon removal of it, lo and behold, there was a mud daubers nest in the stove pipe that was, thankfully, vacant. Upon washing it out and running a wire brush through the stove pipe to clear out 97 years of memories it ran great upon reinstallation.
Quiet as a T.
Dodged that bullet.
